Sanford Middle School (STEM Magnet) and The Pointy Pencil (Teacher-Created tutoring and Learning Center) have teamed up to offer exciting programs this summer! LEGO Robotics Camp:
Campers will bring abstract concepts to life with a fun, hands-on approach that really engages students. LEGO bricks turn ideas into real models that can be touched, described and innovated upon. By making the subjects tangible, they foster collaboration and encourage self-guided learning by creating enthusiasm and giving students the tools they need to overcome challenges. |

Reading & Writing Camp:
Middle school is full of academic challenges. Why not give your middle schooler the skills and strategies needed to tackle more complex reading assignments?This camp will help students sharpen reading skills, build comprehension ability, strengthen note-taking using textbooks and non-fiction texts, develop study skills, learn how to write text-based evidence responses and more! |

Explore baking with a science and math perspective. Campers will stir up fun in this 4-day camp featuring fresh ingredients and interesting recipes. |

Basketball Camp:
Athletes will have team instruction that will include game situations, team building and motivation to take individual skill to the next level. Camp is developed by Shawn Witherspoon (Obsessed Training & Development, LLC), a local, collegiate and semi-professional All-Star. |
